The IDPoor Department of the Ministry of Planning led a training workshop on "Preparing the Social Protection Registration Campaign via the IDPoor Portal" through the Digital Social Protection Platform. This session was conducted with technical support from the General Secretariat for the National Social Protection Council and attended by officials from the Provincial Departments of Planning for Kampong Cham and Siem Reap, as well as program implementation officers from Cheung Prey District (Kampong Cham) and Siem Reap City (Siem Reap).

The training session aimed to strengthen the capacity of Commune/Sangkat officials in utilizing the recently launched "IDPoor Portal." It also served as a preparatory step for the nationwide social protection registration campaign, which will be implemented in phases, beginning with 22 Communes/Sangkats across Cheung Prey District and Siem Reap City.

It is worth noting that, under the high guidance of H.E. Akka Pundit Sopheacha Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Chairman of the National Social Protection Council, this registration campaign will further maximize the accuracy, transparency, and quality of registration data for Equity Card holders. This will be achieved by updating existing data on poor and vulnerable households through the collection of additional demographic and biometric data (facial recognition and fingerprints).
