Cheung Prey District, Kampong Cham Province, May 19, 2026

Under the collaboration between the General Secretariat for the National Social Protection Council (GS-NSPC) and the Department of Identification of Poor Households (IDPoor) of the Ministry of Planning, leaders and technical officials from the DigitalSP Secretariat of the GS-NSPC have conducted a field visit to monitor, review, and support the pilot implementation of the Biometric Data Collection Campaign. This campaign utilizes the IDPoor Portal on the Digital Social Protection Platform across all communes/Sangkats throughout Cheung Prey District, Kampong Cham Province.

This Biometric Data Collection Campaign, which includes facial and fingerprint data, as well as identification data of household members holding Equity Cards (IDPoor cards) and vulnerable households, is being led and implemented by the Ministry of Planning, with technical support from the DigitalSP Secretariat. The pilot is currently being rolled out across Cheung Prey District in Kampong Cham Province and Siem Reap Municipality in Siem Reap Province, with plans to expand its scope in consecutive phases.

This biometric data collection campaign was conceived and organized with the objective of updating existing identification data for poor and vulnerable households to ensure greater comprehensiveness and high accuracy.
