H.E. YOK Samedy, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat for the National Social Protection Council and Head of the Digital Secretariat, led technical teams of the Secretariat alongside relevant departments and units to discuss the modernization of social protection cash benefit payments with Mr. MEN Pheakdey, Deputy Director-General of the Directorate General of Banking Regulation and Financial Inclusion, and relevant officials of the National Bank of Cambodia, as well as representatives from ACLEDA Bank Plc. and Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc.

The meeting exchanged views and gathered inputs to support the drafting of a concept towards the modernization of the social protection cash benefit payments by leveraging existing interoperability mechanisms and IT infrastructure, aiming to promote financial inclusion while making the delivery of social protection benefits faster, more efficient, and transparent.
